Signs of Compulsive Underearning
In addition to the signs of compulsive debting, underearners exhibit some of the following symptoms.
-Resenting low pay or a bad job situation, yet not asking for a raise or changing jobs
-Feeling inadequate to perform a job well, while secretly feeling superior to others
-Believing your salary is not important, yet worrying about money constantly
-Feeling too discouraged to apply for a job ("I won't get it anyway, and if I do, I'll hate it")
-Having trouble finding resumes or job notices in piles of bills and unopened mail
-Feeling ashamed of your work history and sick with anxiety over job interviews
-Stealing from employers because you believe they owe you more than they pay you
-Spending hours daydreaming but not even minutes working toward your dreams
-Over-committing time and energy to volunteer activities
-Overworking -- spending hours to do a job more perfectly than you are getting paid to do
-Being too fearful of failure to get more training or attempt a new career
-Believing no one will pay you for anything you enjoy doing
If you find that many of these symptoms describe you, then you are probably a compulsive underearner.

12 Steps of DA
12 Steps of Debtors Anonymous
1. We admitted we were powerless over debt--that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to compulsive debtors, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

12 Promises of DA
DA Promises
In the program of Debtors Anonymous, we come together to share ourexperience, strength and hope so that we may recover from the disease of compulsive debting.
When we work D.A.'s Twelve Steps and use the D.A.Tools, we begin to receive these gifts of the program:
1. Where once we felt despair, we will experience a new found hope.
2. Clarity will replace vagueness; we will intuitively know how to handlesituations which used to baffle us.
3. We will live within our means, yet our means will not define us.
4. We will begin to live a prosperous life, unencumbered by fear, worry, resentment, or debt.
5. We will realize that we are enough; we will value ourselves and ourcontributions.
6. Isolation will give away to fellowship; faith will displace fear.
7. We will recognize that there is enough; our resources will be generous and we will share them with others and with D.A.
8. We will cease to compare ourselves to others; jealousy and envy will fade.
9. Acceptance and gratitude will replace regret, self-pity and longing.
10. We will no longer fear the truth; we will move from hiding in denial to living in reality.
11. Honesty will guide our actions toward rich life filled with meaning and purpose.
12. We will recognize a Power Greater than ourselves as the source of our abundance; we realize God is doing for us what we could not do forourselves.
Are these extravagant promises? We think not, they are well within ourmeans. When we work this program with integrity and to the best of ourability, one day at a time, a life of prosperity and serenity will be ours.

Keep Thinking
In DA we learn to take care of ourselves first, and then repay our debt. It is a very important and foundational precept to grasp. Using the $50 gift money to treat yourself and your family may be a much Higher Purpose than paying toward debt. The more we deprive ourselves, the more we set ourselves up for debting and complusive spending.
record keeping
Record Keeping
____________
The first step in Debtors Anonymous states: "We admitted we were
powerless over debt--that our lives had become unmanageable." Our unmanageability often stemmed, in part, from a fear of looking at the reality of our financial situation.
We avoided clearly looking at what we earned, how we spent, what we
saved, and what we owed. Recordkeeping is a tool that we use to help us look without fear at these items. When we face our fears about using this tool, we remember to draw on the
strength of others who have gone before us.
Keeping records gives us clarity. We can see the situation we are in
and can develop plans to change it. For most of us, keeping daily records is the first concrete tool that the D.A. program gave us.
We began our recovery by noting every expenditure, from $.25 for a phone call to $24.35 for a shirt. We also recorded every item of income from wages, gifts, and interest earned, to reimbursements from our employer or insurer. These daily records then became the basis for developing a spending plan, debt payment plan, earning plan and action plan.
By keeping records we began to work the first three steps of Debtors
Anonymous. We acknowledged our powerlessness over incurring unsecured debt and admitted that our way of handling money did not work. We recognized that a power greater
than ourselves could restore our lives to sanity. We then made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to that power--by following the directions we got in D.A. and by continuing to work the remainder of the Twelve Steps of Debtors Anonymous.
We will explain below the different types of records D.D. members keep
and how those records helped us in our recovery. (to be continued)

V: Success and Balance
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a success and making a decent living to provide for ourselves and our family, but it is easy to confuse"our net worth with our self worth" and make money, possessions, powerand ego our God.
When this happens we start to neglect our real needs andinstead of our actions helping, we end up hurting ourselves and our loved ones - always seek balance.
The only advice I can offer to those overly ambitious individuals that are looking for that elusive state of peace, prosperity and happiness as well as a license to live any way they want and defy the laws of nature is to do as the program suggests and "find someone that has what you want" so they can learn their secret for yourself.
Find someone in the program that is very successful, very rich, very overextended and pulled in all directions to the point of breaking - yet at the same time honest, generous, compassionate, serene, thin and healthy and is now immune to their various addictions calling their name and can do anything they want in life with impunity and never worry about slipping with their program...
Good Luck! And, if you never quite find your mentor, you can always try scaling back, living within your means and asking the "fit or acquit" question yourself while you look for recovery throughout your day.

"For me, voluntary simplicity is living consciously, trying to eliminate
the unnecessary, the superficial clutter. It is trying to live morally
and ethically in the global economy by using less.""I think that voluntary simplicity as living on purpose, making sure I have the time to do the things I want to do, not wishing my time away."
"I think voluntary simplicity is being true to yourself, true to the
environment. It's finding that place for every facet of my life anddefining how much is enough. For me it is spiritual."
"It's choosing to enhance one's life by surrounding yourself with what really brings you fulfillment. It is defining my own standard of successand prosperity, community and fun."
"Voluntary simplicity is balancing the realities of my life (limited economics, time and energy) with my values and implementing them into a lifestyle that is comfortable and rewarding. I think voluntary simplicity is an "art of living."
I believe it is an art to live, to be true toyourself and to be open to innovation."
An in-depth discussion and clarification of the term "Voluntary Simplicity" by Philip Slater.
All personal solutions to wealth addiction involve one form or another ofwhat has come to be called Voluntary Simplicity. This doesn't not necessarily mean going "back to nature" and does not mean living in poverty and discomfort, although some people may elect forms of simplicity that would be highly uncomfortable for the rest of us.
Above all, it does not mean forcing yourself to give up something you really enjoy, out of some pious conviction that it's the "right thing to do."
Voluntary Simplicity merely means trying to rid one's life as much as possible of material clutter so as to concentrate on more important things: creativity, human survival and development, community well-being,play.
The key word in Voluntary Simplicity is "voluntary," which means that thegiving up of the material clutter is not coerced either from the outsideor from the inside.
As Andre Vanden Broeck observers, only those who have experienced affluence are in a position to have a "choice divorced from need."
The poor aren't in a position to make such a choice-they are stuck with a scarcity that is neither simple nor voluntary. Nor is Voluntary Simplicity coerced from within, for to deprive yourself out of some ideological conviction is merely to feed the Ego Mafia.
Theword "simplicity" may have overtones that arouse our suspicions: a vaguely puritan ring, conjuring up images of drab smocks, self-righteousness and flagellation. But if this is in the spirit in which Voluntary Simplicity is embraced the result will most certainly be noxious.
There is an old Zen story about two monks traveling together who encounter a nude woman trying to cross a stream.
One of them carries her across, much to the consternation of the other.
They continue in silence for a couple of hours until the second monk can stand it no longer.
"How," he asks "could you expose yourself to such temptation?"
The first monk replies, "I put her down two hours ago. You're still carrying her."
Addiction is internal; if you experiment sincerely with Voluntary Simplicity and find yourself still thinking of money and possessions, your simplicity is a fraud and you might just as well go back to pursuing wealth until you've had your fill of it.
To achieve its goal, Voluntary simplicity must be undertaken in the spirit, not of Puritanism or self-flagellation, but out of adventure.
All adventurers throughout history have, after all, been people who abandoned comforts, possessions, love and security to seek new experiences in faraway places.
Richard Gregg, who coined the term in 1936, once complained to Gandhithat while he had no trouble giving up most things, he could not let goof his books.
Gandhi told he shouldn't try: "As long as you derive inner help and comfort from anything, you should keep it." He pointed out that if you give things up out of a sense of duty or self-sacrifice they continue to preoccupy you and clutter your mind.
To talk of "denying oneself" is to use the language of despotism. Simplicity is an affirmation, not a denial of oneself. End of quote

Beyond Being an Compuslive Underachiever
It was written in a recent DA post, "I am a compulsive underearner and debtor." Who said that and what does this mean. Did somebody say this, or did nobody say this? If somebody said this, then that mind is confusing itself with a body, and is therefore limiting itself and blocking the perception of miracles that is the learning purpose of a mind that perceives itself in that way. It means nothing, because it expresses nothing that is truly worthwhile.
My siggestion is to say instead: I am willing with God, Who is the Source of Everything, and is Good, Infinite Good. It is impossible for me to be in debt, for I am, and share in, the Infinite Gratitude that is Love. Infinite Love.

From Recovery to Singularity
This posting is from, and at the Step One Miracle site (emphasis added):
"My second experience with this Step happened almost a year and a half after my sobriety date. The drinking and obsession to drink had been miraculously removed from my life but this time I felt my mind consumed with thoughts of all kinds and the reflection I was receiving from all those around me was dark and vengeful. I tried everything I once believed would work, talking with friends, trying to figure out ways to solve my problems one by one, implementing every way I had done in the past I used to get out of a funk, and praying.
"Suddenly it dawned on me that I was totally unmanageable (with some help and hinting from my sponsor) and I was trying, flailing, and drowning in every way to remove my own thoughts from my head.
"What seemed to be total devastation and hopelessness was actually a wake up call that I was avoiding by trying to solve the problem.
"I gave up. What once appeared to be a condition of living where I thought I could manage a least some things became crystal clear that any effort on my part yanked me into despair. The gray existence became completely black and white, total light or total darkness, me unmanageable- me manageable.
"And in that place, which could only seem embarrassing weakness, all those around me came with experiences of how great I looked, their hopefulness by seeing me, their relief that finally someone said what they felt.
"We were all free, I couldn't manage myself, and I couldn't manage them. I was totally defeated, defenseless and vulnerable and yet totally free from every binding restricting painful idea through the realization that by my own self will I was powerless.
Instead of moving off what felt like an uncomfortable point of fear I was forced to stand still through my revelation that any attempt to do anything was just my effort to manage the situation.
"What an incredible experience.
"How did I get so blessed? What a huge moment that something so brand new could be opened up to me, so different, so beyond all I thought would solve my problem. I came to the point where I knew nothing but desired everything; I was ready to learn it and did.
"For you this step will be as difficult and hard and easy and free as you want or need it to be. How much do you want to hold on? In the end it doesn't matter because even the smallest speck of the recognition that you are unmanageable in all your affairs will lead you to a moment you might have never come across before. You are here, right here and now, choosing again. Here you are, unmanageable and through your self-will, powerless.
"What an amazing opportunity, an incredible exciting time! The choice is yours. Whatever it is your holy perfect self is waiting to be revealed to you now. We're standing in the light welcoming with fully opened arms. All the resources and help are with you now. And everyone in and out of time and space, your perfect Self, is cheering you each time you come to this point: totally defeated, totally powerless and totally unmanageable and ask with total disregard, total mercy and desperation:
" 'Please help me, right here and now, in this place I find myself.' "

Wise Advice from vfr44@aol.com
Accepting step one is the foundation to finding recovery. I see many addicts in different recovery areas wanting recovery but still not accepting powerlessness over the addiction. One recent example comes to mind. On a Debtors Anonymous list a person writes in: "I'd rather accumulate more debt than have my phone shut off. I need to change my thinking."
This is how it is with many addicts. A refusal to live within their comfortable means and a refusal to accept and practice Step 1. We are still playing god with debt, alcohol, food, drugs, gambling, sex, clutter, etc. The turning point with step 1 is when we would rather "accumulate recovery" instead of accumulate more addiction, then we have turned the corner. It is so easy to live outside our means and "charge it" to some later day. We start small and end up big...in big debts.
Part of the problem is that the right choices might be distasteful to our ego, so we go with what the ego likes. Other times we have not hit a low enough bottom to wake us up with a jolt of pain. Many of us let our mouth or brain dictate our tastes to us, but as it has tuned out these tastes have hurt us in the long run. Yes, as this person pointed out we need to change our thinking. We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that we used when we created them.
One thing about being powerless? We are only powerless when we have no recovery program and our addiction works us on its terms. Once we have recovery program, we have the power to work the addiction on the programs terms and the addiction can stop working us ion its terms.

Meditation on the Virtues
Thirteen Virtues
Temperance -- I am limited and moderate in my needs, knowing that I have none, and that they have already been fulfilled in God.
Silence I do not judge or comment on error. " Resist not evil!"
Order I allow true order to govern my thoughts.,
Resolution I am resolute and will. ,
Frugality fru'-gal, a. [OFr. frugal, from L. frugalis, economical, temperate]
1. economical; not spending freely or unnecessarily; saving; sparing; not profuse or lavish. - Webster's Dictionary
"Frugality is an old-fashioned concept. When you hear the word you might think of solid New Englanders from the 1800's. But the word has many applications in today's world. For example, buying items on sale and using coupons are both marks of frugality. Perhaps a better, more modern way to talk about it would be to call it creative saving. That's all it is. Frugality is the attempt to save money when you can, rather than spending it.
Why might you want to be frugal? As discussed in the article entitled "Incentives", most people start down the road of creative saving because there is something they would like to have. They have set a financial priority or goal, and they are willing to save in other areas in order to reach the financial goal faster. The goal might be something as immediate as a new bedroom set, or as long term as early retirement. " from http://www.bygpub.com/finance/finance12.htm
Other virtues--Moderation, Cleanliness, Tranquility, Chastity, Humility, Constancy, Joyousness, Generosity.

Repeating the lesson of giving = receiving
"Happy people are the ones who are grateful for what they have and whatthey are. Miserable and depressed people don't know how to say thank you.The more you have, the more grateful you can be. Start off by saying thankyou to yourself; appreciate how far you have come and what you haveachieved. It could be a lot worse. Giving thanks and appreciation opensmany doors. Be grateful even for mistakes and conflicts, because these giveyou the opportunity to learn and grow. Give and you receive. Remember lasttime you gave something with love? Was it not really receiving?" Gudrun Kretschman (non-DA approved)
Blessings to All, Anna"I try for a full inventory of my blessings and then for a right acceptanceof the many gifts that are mine -- both temporal and spiritual. Here I tryto achieve a state of joyful gratitude. . . I try hard to hold fast to thetruth that a full and thankful heart cannot entertain great conceits. Whenbrimming with gratitude, one's heartbeat must surely result in outgoinglove, the finest emotion that we can ever know."Bill W., March 1962 - The Language of the Heart, p. 271 "Happy people are the ones who are grateful for what they have and whatthey are. He has penetrated the whole mystery oflife: giving thanks for everything." Albert Schweitzer (non-DA approved) "Gratitude is one of the sweet shortcuts to finding peace of mind andhappiness inside. No matter what's going on outside, there's alwayssomething we can be grateful for."

hi carl!
i would definitely bring it up on monday at your meeting and in the meantime, research the tax laws for your particular state and city to find out what is really going on!!! the more you educate yourself, the more clarity you get, IMHO. i would also find about the $100 you are owed and find out what kind of arrangements they are going to make with you in paying that off....
just my two cents!! good luck and keep us posted!!!
cheers!

I just paid from a job and it was kinda funny because the accountant told me do I want to have to pay sales tax. That was a wierd thing to say. I am an independent contractor and I am providing the service, not only would they be the ones paying the sales tax, there is no tax on services. I also was shorted $100, and the president of the company told me he hasn't been getting paid lately--(I happened to see a 48 Hour Notice for his residence in his carrying bag.) I am living in a transitional housing program where my savings is a key component of my overall living plan. Should I just forget it or bring it up at a meeting on Monday,

I am not new to DA however I am receiving counselor, and my counselor encourage me to attend. I don't want secured debt either. Stay gifted, and give is my motto. Set your sights on the heights, and don't be concerned about money matters. I think about God's Love and ask for the understanding in prayer so I am singleminded in all that I do.

Adapted DA Tools
THE TOOLS OF DA Adapted (revised 11/22/05)
Recovery from compulsive debting begins when we stop incurring new, unsecured debt, one day at a time. (Unsecured debt is any debt that is not backed up by some form of collateral, such as a house or other asset. Note: I am going for any debt.)
We attain a daily reprieve from compulsive debting by practicing the Twelve Steps (read: A Course in Miracles and by using the following tools.
MEETINGS -- We attend meetings either in person or online at which we share our experience, strength and hope with one another. Unless we give to newcomers what we have received from D.A., we cannot keep it ourselves.
RECORD MAINTENANCE -- We maintain records of our daily incomand expenseses, of our savings, and of the retirement of any portions of our outstanding debts.
SPONSORSHIP -- We have found it essential to our recovery to have a sponsors and/or to be a sponsor. A sponsor is a non-debtor who guides us through the the path of forgiveness, and shares his or her own experience, strength and guidance from the Holy Spirit. We sponsor others to maintain our own healing.
PRESSURE RELIEF GROUPS AND PRESSURE RELIEF MEETINGS After having gained some familiarity with the D.A. program, we organize Pressure Relief Groups. Pressure Relief Meetings review our financial situation. These meetings typically result in the formulation of a spending plan and ab action plan.
SPENDING PLAN -- The spending plan puts our needs first and gives us clarity and balance in our spending. It includes categories for income, spending, debt payment and savings. The income plan helps us fon increasing our income. The debt payment category guides umaking realistic payments arrangements without depriving ourselves. Savings plans include prudent reserves, retirement and special purchases (to help us build cash reserves, however humble).
ACTION PLAN -- With the help of our Pressure Relief Group, we list specific actions for resolving our debts, improving our financial situation, and achieving our visions without incurring debt.
THE TELEPHONE & THE INTERNET -- We maintain frequent contact with others by using the telephone, e-mail, and other means of communication.
DA LITERATURE -- We study the literature of A Course in Miracles to strengthen our understanding of our true nature, and the perception that we have already been given everything from our Creator in the Creation.
AWARENESS -- We maintain awareness of our perfect safety.
BUSINESS MEETINGS -- We are already one with our Creator, and accept the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every situation.
SERVICE -- We perform service at every level: giving is receiving.. .
ANONYMITY -- We practice silence and acceptance our our True Identity as the Children of God.

Pocket PC or notebook PC which or both
How do I have a wireless laptop or notebook in addition to a Pocket PC are both necessary. The monthly charge for a Pocket PC will be the same as my Vision Phone. I shall pay down on my monthly credit allowance of $250 until I carry no debt.
Sharing My Problems With The Holy Spirit
I share my problems because I am giving them to Him to solve., not projecting or blaming another.
Using credit cards not at all
Bouncing checks clean for 120 days
Getting student loans I am working on a plan to pay off my current ones, and want to help Chuck avoid them
Borrowing money from friends I have stopped doing this
Paying utility bills late (I owe $200 to PGE.)
Paying rent late I am current
Paying taxes late (I may owe or be owed money.)
Deferring payment for professional services, such as medical care,
at the time of service. (Let's think about this.)
I am giving the plan to the Holy Spirit to work out for me. Only He knows to make it a happy one for me. I only need have it done for me.

DA Sponsorship
Sunday 11/19
Went to Church and met Sandy there. She told me she had prayed that I would go to church with her. She wanted me to be anointed. And I did go up to the front. Had a meeting with sponsor. Twice. Picked up two presents for Dana and Kate's children. I prayed that I would be complete and when I came back to NBC I gave Joe and Darren and the other one there the chocolate raising andspistachio nuts that was part of the basket I had gotten from the Victory Christian Center.
Saturday Saturday November 18th
Went to see Jesus Is Magic with Sandy. And Jerry my sponsor. They appreciated that I shared with them Sandy bought candy and drinks and Jerry dinner at the Rd Boy pizza across the street and I paid for the movie tickets.
Friday November 17th Instead of going to the Business Owners DA meeting in Novato, I worked in Pacific Heights until 7 and then met with someone who may be my sponsor for regular DA.We saw each other at the Borders in San Rafael. A good spot because of the many recovery books and magazines there. It is also a mild mannered locale. He said he was surprised that I was making so little money at the main place where I was working.
Back at NBC I listened to The Vacancies "Save Yourself" No one's going to save you, save yourself, nothing's going to change, save yourself." How true. Don't have to "rip out the wings of a butterfly for your soul," like H.I.M. sings.
I thought about my overeating, and had a blueberry smoothie. It satifying my insane craving for thirst and sweet taste.

Consciousness Dies in Your Jubilation
Releasing from Madness--This is something you can do, even within the dream of human existence. And as you be within the dream, you cease to exercise consciousness so that it slows down, quiets and dies. But after consciousness dies, you still are, so you must not have been consciousness . And this that you are always was, so that it was not affected by the insane consciousness that seemed to be you for a little while.

Nothing Exists
Save my will. This is a shared will I share with God and all the rest of Creation. It cannot be known by anyone alone.
Does not the mind thinking it is matter create imaginary space? And the mind, intertwined with spirit, uncreated and formless, infinite and real, lacking nothing, forever present, is us now. We are the compound ideal of thought itself.

Ponder This
A message forwarded by Gloria at www.heavenletters.org
Is it not possible for you to follow the trail of blessings more than to follow the trail of what you interpret as non-blessing?
It is simpler and better to just accept all as blessing.
Simpler and better to simply change your concept of blessing.
Change your definition. Consider all happenings as blessings. Make no discrimination.
When you fall down, let it be as great a blessing as when you rise.
There is much that does not resemble blessing to you, but that is because you are so involved with yourself as a person more than Being.
If you had not a body and those you love did not have bodies and those you do not love did not have bodies, you would see from another vantage altogether.
All the snags you presently see would not be there.
All the accumulations of thought would not be there.
All the impressions, all the preferred and all the unpreferred would
not be there.
What difference would anything make when you are aware
of your immersion in the Absolute?
What difference would anythingmake when you see the Big Picture?
And what is the Big Picture that you would see?
You would see how everything fits, not later, but now.
You would see ephemerality for what it is.
You would no longer expec tthe ephemeral to be eternal.
You would know Eternal better than you know the palm of your hand.
You would be immersed in Oneness from which there is no distance and no dispersal and no absent-mindedness.
There would be no imagined departure from Oneness.
There would be no difference in anything.
Nothing would matter.
You would see matter as nothing.
You would see that the physical was some kind of fantastic measure through which to see the Absolute.
It was a non-existent yardstick that you held up.
In physical life, you see contrast and you see comparison.
You see a line between Earth and Heaven where there is none, but you see it. You see Many-ness when there is only Oneness.
And, let's face it, you enjoy the Many-ness.
Don't be embarrassed that you do.
You enjoy the soap operas and the mysteries and the comedies and all the short stories.
You enjoy the fiction, and why not?
What is it therefore but to be enjoyed?
You ride by life as a passenger in a train that watches the scenery of life, and the passenger projects himself into the scenery he passes by.
His fingers cannot touch the fence posts he sees, buthe sees himself there nevertheless.
He sees other fictions ofhimself, and he forgets that he is on a train passing through theterrain but not of it.
He likes being in the middle of things.
He likes the action ofbelieving he is a mere Human Being.
I capitalize Human Being but he writes it with small letters because he doesn't quite accept that he is Divine Being.
He has been looking out the train window so much,he doesn't seem himself.
He merely sees his reflection in the windowand he merely sees his reflection through and beyond the window andhe doesn't see himself.
He doesn't know that he is merely looking upon something.
He thinks he is truly an actor there, and he plays his part to the hilt.
And he is so engaged with the drama that he forgets the Designer of it all, he forgets he is watcher, he thinks he is an activist, he thinks he is living that which he only sees from his eyes, he forgets he is behind his eyes, he forgets he is more than what he sees, he forgets only to remember now to Observe.

Integrity in Recovery
Creating a blog or blogs to develop integrity is not the point. Integrity means togetherness. Being together, loving together. Seeing no differences.
Holy Spirit on Integrity
Me: What else can you tell me about integrity?Holy Spirit: Integrity is honesty. To say what you mean and mean what you say is to have integrity and honesty with yourself and therefore with everyone. There is no difference between an outright lie, backing out of a commitment, and forgetting a promise. Lack of integrity is dishonesty. I will always guide you to do what is most helpful for all concerned. To refuse, forget or reject My Guidance (they are all the same) is clearly a lack of integrity. Whose guidance are you following if you are not following Mine? When you align your mind with Me you devote your mind to God, to Love, to healing, to peace. Every time you experience doubt it is because of your own lack of integrity. It is this simple. The remedy is also very simple. Stop and ask Me what I would have you do. Ask yourself if you are being honest about your motivation. Is your desire single or split? It must be split for you to experience doubt.

Love Letter to God
Dear God, I am aching right now, and want you to heal me. I want to serve you to be one with You all the time and always. I want to lighten up, not take myself so serious, to not take anything seriously. I want to have fun. To really enjoy myself. I don't want to work. I don't want to play, or sleep either. I don't want to die. Just rest in perfect love. Carl

More about the Business Owners Credo for DA
How do you know if you are a compulsively debting business owner?
Some of the experiences and behaviors that led to compulsive debting were:
We neither knew when bills or taxes were due, nor did we remember if and what we had paid or still owed.
We confused our personal finances with our business finances.
We often did not know the exact costs of our overhead, operating expenses or profit margins.
We had no business plan.
We lived in a state of deprivation for the sake of our business.
We undervalued and underpriced our goods and services.
How to change. A change of mind and will is necessary. The answers--from ACIM:
I am as God created me. I and Jesus (InJ, InI) have mastered time and space.
I have not personal interests and needs.
I count my blessings, which are infinite.
Only God's Plan for me will work.
Sacrifice is nowhere, for I have been given everything in the creation.
It is impossible to overestimate myself and my contribution.

On a Positive Note
Whew what a week it's been so far. The majority of my time I have been observing and not judging. It's been paying off. The budgetary matters seem to be occuring with great speed and grace. I am able to write off the losses and zero out the meaningless. Everything is on the positive and the upward ascent.

The Four Agreements
A midrash, or commentary, on the Four Agreements of Miguel Ruiz--
Be Impeccable with Your Word My friend Eddie Balchowsky used to say: "say what you mean and mean what you say."
Don't Take Anything Personally One has no personal interests. It is simple truth.
Don't Make Assumptions "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
Always Do your Best Or, as Jerry Garcia said, "Don't try to be the best, be the only one who does what you do." Maximize always.

homelessness
The body percept is the meme that relates to hurt and attack. See it no more, and let home be welcomed.
