Generosity

Good Morning Holy Spirit, I understand all that is in the Manual for
Teachers: The teacher of God gives away in order to keep, the
teacher of God is generous out of Self interest, the teacher of God
does not want anything he cannot give away and by giving away in
true generosity the things that are of God are protected forever for
himself. Talk to me about generosity.

Holy Spirit: Generosity in the world's terms involves individual
ownership, such as giving ownership of an object, place or even giving
ownership of one person to another. Generosity is often associated
with time and when time is not available as a means for
demonstrating generosity, it is substituted with money or material
possessions.

Generosity in My terms, or in Gods terms, involves being Who You Are
and reflecting this truth through your actions. In true generosity
there is no specialness, idolatry, planning (based on judgment),
comparisons, financial considerations or time considerations. The
teacher of God reflects the giving, generous nature of His father,
Who gives unconditionally to all of His sons whether they seem to be
aware of His gifts or not.

There is no guilt involved when you give as your Father gives. There
is only blessings.

Me: So when I want to buy a gift for someone and I feel guilt
because it's not what a Teacher of God would do, it's not what David
would do, and if I'm living on Divine Providence it's not what I
must do - and I get angry with David and want to keep separate money
and secrets (like presents) from him – what can I do?

Holy Spirit: Your desire to give is beautiful. Share your desire
openly with Me, and with David, and with those that you love. Ask Me
if there is a way to express your desire in form and let Me guide
you.

Me: OK. Thank you.

I then talked to the Holy Spirit about my stepping back from the
role of "teaching" at gatherings, of feeling the desire to stay in
one place, and that I feel lighter now that I am clear about this.
This year has been one of almost continuous traveling over thousands
and thousands of miles, and all that I have gone through has been
shared openly in public forums. It has been intense and now I just
want to retreat.

Holy Spirit: You can (retreat) now.

Me: David talked about his hermitage experiences, having periods of
rest, taking bike rides and long walks and this seems impossible. I
can't imagine having rest time like this together… I feel caught in
a wheel of having to be productive, do gatherings, cover costs and
air fares, and this doesn't fit with "doing nothing".

Holy Spirit: Let the fear and anger come up.

Me: Well how? I feel confused. David has talked to me about it all.
Often after trips overseas there aren't any funds coming in to help
with the costs of operating the ministry in the United States. So
"give it all away for free' only works with financial support.

Holy Spirit: What you "need" will be provided. Release your concerns
of "how". I am the "how". I will Guide you as to where to be, and I
will only Guide you to be in places / situations where you are
supported. You are supported right now.

Me: Yes but that's only now – what about when David leaves? (David
will return to the U.S in March)... I can't believe I'm asking
this!!

Holy Spirit: David is not leaving. Everything in this world is
temporary. The use of symbols is temporary but Love is eternal.
You asked for a relationship in which you could experience a love
that would never end. This is that experience. You asked for no
separation – this is that experience. You asked for the Peace of
God and beneath the surface of changing emotions and changing
feelings is the Peace of God.


Me: (I take a deep breath and the feeling of peace envelops me.)

One of life's paradoxes is that in order to change an unwanted situation, we must first accept it the way it is. If you wish to move forward in your life, first make peace with what you are presently experiencing.

John was working at a job that he had ceased to enjoy and could not wait to leave. Yet despite his extensive job search, he was unable to find new employment. Realizing that you can't leave a situation without spiritual injury unless you leave it lovingly, John decided to make peace with his job and to bless the people in it. This change of attitude freed him to move on to new employment.

Accepting people as they are is also transformational. For years, a man tried to get his elderly mother to stop complaining. One day he gave up trying to change her and accepted her faults. This experience of unconditional love opened her heart to the point where she stopped condemning herself and others.

If there is some area of your life that you are seeking to change, first practice acceptance. By acknowledging where you are and giving thanks for the good that you have received, you will release an energy that will transform you and your present circumstances.

Holy Spirit and Money Concerns

Good Morning Holy Spirit, this seems to be a time of few questions for me.
What would you have me know/read/do?(Thoughts of concern about money come to mind)
Holy Spirit: Give your money concerns to me.
Questioner: OK. (I release all of the concerns in my mind).

Holy Spirit: Follow your joy.
As with all ideas involving form you must lead with the purpose and not with the form. Enjoy the process (as your are doing).
You know by your happiness and joy that you are following the "Big Yes" in your heart and this is all that is required as far as organizing and arranging is concerned.
Extending your joy is your purpose and this in itself guarantees "success".
It is only when you lead with the form, e.g. trying to arrange the form to cover expenses, that you lose sight of your purpose (which is only to extend).
By extending Love and sharing your living experience, healing occurs and all blocks are shone away. It is this simple.
Shine your light, share your passion and your joy, light up the world, I will arrange the form.
This is what is meant by "I will arrange time and space for the miracle worker" (ACIM).
All you need do is follow your heart, which is listening to My Guidance, all else will be added unto you. There will be no obstacles to bar your way because you are not trying to arrange the form to meet illusory fear-based "needs".
The path is clear, simply keep your hand in mine and rejoice with Me.
